The travelers tablet is a magical artifact for Pomfaen Rangers to quickly travel across the world using pre-made stone circular platforms. There are several of these stone platforms, although some have been destroyed over time.

Physical Description

An 8 inch by 10 inch crystal tablet that projects a map of all working teleportation platforms in front of the user.

Usage

Teleporting

To display the map one must be standing on a platform and in moonlight. Holding the tablet facing up towards the sky makes it display a map projected with light in front of the user. The user focuses their mind on the destination with their eyes, and the name of it. Using a command word the tablet flashes and everything inside the platform is teleported. It is rumored that some time passes before the user(s) actually appear at their destination but nobody has been able to prove this.

Navigating

The tablet works as a navigational map as well, but it only works at night. Some historians believe this is what led to the Pomfaen Rangers begin training nocturnal sleep cycles. When facing up and exposed to moonlight the map will project as normal and display important landmarks such as locations of the Architect's Spires and the active teleportation platforms. It is also rumored that the tablets can send distress beacons to other rangers nearby, but that myth has not been corroborated by any evidence.
