Physical Description

Orcs vary in appearance, based on region and subrace, but all share certain physical qualities. Orcs of all kinds usually have green skin, coarse hair, stooped postures, low foreheads, large muscular bodies, and porcine faces that feature lower canines that resemble boar tusks. They are often brutish and hefty creatures, standing between six to eight feet tall.

The Orc language is hard on the humanoid mouth and consists of heavy, harsh vowels and sharp consonants. Those who are unfamiliar with Orcish may hear it and think that the Orc speaking it may be furious. However, this is simply how an Orc speaks.

Orcs prefer simple hides for common clothing but heavy, traditional Orcish craft armor is often preferred over other meager armors like human plate. The larger the pauldrons, the better.

Darkvision: Thanks to your orc blood, you have superior vision in dark and dim Conditions.

Menacing: You gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill.

Relentless Endurance: When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. You can’t use this feature again until you finish a Long Rest.

Savage Attacks: When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon Attack, you can roll one of the weapon’s damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit.

There are no optional racial traits for an Orc.

Relations

The Orcs have been judged since they arrived on Meryndan from the Northernlands. In such, they have been targeted and tortured for their appearance as well as their culture for hundreds of years. In turn, they are considered a mutual enemy among all of the races on Meryndan.

Culture

Little is known of the true Orc culture. The other races on Meryndan have decided that due to their choice of living among a hellscape surrounded by molten lava and rocky mountains, that they must be barbaric and rugged. It is assumed that all they care for is their bloodlust and in return, sating it.
